Guidelines for Young Passengers
When riding in a Cabs4Kids vehicle, it’s essential to adhere to transportation guidelines. Parents, kindly reinforce these rules with your kids. At Cabs4Kids, we prioritise the safety of your most cherished ones – your children, and aim for every trip to be a secure one.
- Seat belts must always be worn by passengers.
- Always stay seated while the vehicle is in motion. Wait until the vehicle fully stops and the driver opens the door before getting on or off.
- All passengers should follow the driver’s instructions during pick-up, transit, and drop-off.
- Do not throw anything out of the Cabs4Kids vehicle.
- Keep inside the window perimeters during the ride.
- Distractions can be dangerous. Avoid disturbing the driver or other passengers when the vehicle is moving.
- Respect the vehicle and other passengers’ belongings. Damaging property is not permitted.
- Politeness is key. Using inappropriate language or displaying bad behaviour will not be tolerated.
- Cabs4Kids isn’t responsible for items left behind or any damage to them.
- A $50 cleaning fee will be applied if the vehicle is left messy post-transfer, for instance, if a child gets sick or leaves trash behind.
Christchurch Airport Service Information
PLEASE NOTE: When booking or enquiring, please include
- your full name,
- date/day of arrival and Flight Number
- Address for Drop-Off or Pick-Up
- the total number of passengers, and the ages of any children
- email address
- Number of large bags or other large luggage, e.g. push chairs, carseats
We have all children’s carseats preinstalled in each vehicle, which are adjustable for children from birth to 10 years old.
There are no extra charges added for car seats.
- Our drivers will be waiting for you at the arrivals gate for either domestic or international flights and are there to help you with your luggage and your children, if needed.
- They will be holding a FamilyCabs sign with your name on it.
- They are easily identifiable in their blue cap, red jacket uniforms.
We track all flights, so if there are any delays, we ensure that we arrive at the correct time.
Please message your driver when you get through customs from international flights.
Our drivers are instructed to wait 20 minutes for domestic flights and 60 minutes for international flights. If you do not meet your driver by this time and no contact has been made, then this may be deemed a “no-show,” and FamilyCabs has no liability to you for any costs incurred.
Passengers should be prepared and present at the stipulated pick-up time and spot. Your driver will have contacted you the day before with their mobile number and vehicle details.
Please note that you must be able to be contacted by phone an hour before your pick-up time (unless you are being picked up from the airport).
Payment Guidelines – Please either pay online when booking or Eftpos Machines are available in all vehicles for your convenience.
